PhD trip update

We’re leaving Zurich after three wonderful days and are heading to Lausanne by train at the moment I’m writing this update.

Sunday was our travelling day: we left early from ede-wageningen and headed towards Schiphol to catch the plain to Zurich. After installation in the youth hostel we went for a nice walk (and drink) to the lake.

Monday was our first excursion day to flavoring company Givaudan, where we learned a lot about flavors and fragrances. We finished the excursion with a guided tour around the company. When we arrived at Zurich centre, we ended our day with a wonderful sunny walk around the centre and a visit to the church.

Today, Tuesday, we went to EAWAG for a PhD symposium. Several interesting PhD projects were presented in a very nice atmosphere. During coffee and lunch break we integrated with the EAWAG PhD students.

And now we are on our way to Lausanne. Hopefully our days in Lausanne will be just as interesting as the past ones in Zunich!

Ciao, the fugu’s
